Tragedy struck in Bilkumari as a hit-and-run incident resulted in the loss of life for an unidentified woman. Masud Karim Mondal, son of the late Geodali Mondal from Bilkumari, Nakashipara, reported the incident to authorities on March 27, 2024, at dawn.
According to the complaint lodged by Masud Karim Mondal, an unknown vehicle collided with a female vagabond, approximately 55 years of age, near Bilkumari Madrasha. The collision, attributed to rash and negligent driving by the offending vehicle’s driver, proved fatal for the victim.
Upon discovering the accident, Masud Karim Mondal rushed to the scene and transported the injured woman to Bethuadahari Rural Hospital. Tragically, medical personnel at the hospital declared her as brought dead upon arrival.
The identity of the victim remains unknown at this time. Authorities are investigating the hit-and-run incident, seeking to identify the responsible driver and bring them to justice. This unfortunate event serves as a reminder of the dangers posed by reckless driving and the importance of road safety measures.
