In a swift operation, the Nakashipara Police, led by ASI Safikul Islam, thwarted a potential dacoity attempt in the area. Acting on intelligence received, authorities conducted a raid at Lohagachha More, under the jurisdiction of Nakashipara Police Station, on March 27, 2024, at 00:05 hrs.
During the operation, two individuals were apprehended: Abed Ali Sk, aged 26, son of the late Tentul Sk from Nangla, and Surojit Das, also known as Ghona, aged 30, son of Prankrishna Das from Jugpur Dhaka colony Ambaganpara. The raid yielded the seizure of one iron rod and one hammer from the possession of the arrested suspects, documented under proper seizure protocols.
The arrested individuals, along with their associates, were reportedly assembling at the location with the intention of carrying out dacoity at Gachha Bazar and its adjacent areas. Despite the darkness providing cover for some of their accomplices, the police managed to arrest the two primary suspects.
Upon interrogation, the apprehended individuals confessed to their involvement in the planned criminal activity. The prompt action by law enforcement prevented the execution of the intended crime, ensuring the safety and security of the local community. Investigations into the matter continue as authorities pursue further leads and apprehend additional suspects involved in the planned dacoity.
