A tragic incident unfolded on NH 34 near Nabadwip More, under the jurisdiction of Kotwali Police Station, on March 30, 2024, at approximately 05:30 hrs. Mrs. Runu Kalindi, residing at Highroad Lichutala, Krishnagar, lodged a grievous complaint recounting the events.
According to the complaint, her husband, the late Mr. Debu Majhi, was struck by a speeding bus bearing registration number WB 61-8623. The collision occurred due to the reckless and negligent driving of the bus driver.
Mr. Majhi suffered severe injuries in the accident, resulting in profuse bleeding. He was promptly rushed to Saktinagar District Hospital by local bystanders. Despite efforts, Mr. Majhi succumbed to his injuries and tragically passed away.
The incident has sparked outrage and demands for stringent action against the responsible parties. Investigations are underway.
