Disregard for Court Order Sparks Tension in Dompukur, Nadia

Tensions escalated in Dompukur, under the jurisdiction of Chapra Police Station, Nadia, following a complaint lodged by Mr. Joydeb Halder, son of late Bhimsen Halder, residing in the area.

Mr. Halder’s complaint outlined a concerning development regarding a TS Case (No. 45/2024 & 62/2024) currently under the jurisdiction of the Ld. Civil Judge 3rd Court, Krishnagar, Nadia. The case pertains to land identified as Dag No. 2161, Khatian No. 2086, situated within Mouza 25 of Dompukur.

Despite a Status Quo being imposed by the court, individuals identified as (i) Jander Mondal, son of late Boxo Mondal, and (ii) Marsad Mondal, son of late Sahid Mondal, both residents of Dompukur, Chapra, Nadia, reportedly trespassed onto the disputed land. They attempted construction activities in clear violation of the court’s directive.

Upon Mr. Halder’s protest against this unauthorized construction, the alleged individuals purportedly resorted to threats, exacerbating the situation.

The incident has raised concerns over the disregard for legal processes and the potential for further escalation.
