A distressing incident unfolded near Bajitpur Petrol Pump, as reported by Mr. Bisharat Mondal, son of late Arman Mondal, hailing from Teinpur under the jurisdiction of Murutia Police Station.
According to Mr. Mondal’s complaint, on April 1, 2024, at approximately 18:30 hrs., his son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter were standing by the side of the road when tragedy struck. An unidentified motorcycle, lacking a number plate, reportedly speeding towards Karimpur, collided with them in a reckless and negligent manner.
The collision resulted in serious injuries to Mr. Mondal’s son and daughter-in-law. They were promptly rushed to Karimpur Rural Hospital for medical treatment. However, due to the severity of the injuries sustained by his daughter-in-law, she was referred to the District Hospital for advanced medical care.
This hit-and-run incident highlights the dangers of reckless driving and the importance of adhering to road safety regulations.
