In a swift operation, ASI Sujay Singha Roy of Bhimpur Police Station, Krishnagar District, apprehended Dipankar Roy @ Dhani (26 years), a resident of Moluapra Hazarimore, Bhimpur, Nadia, for allegedly selling liquor illegally.According to the complaint filed by ASI Sujay Singha Roy, acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid at a fast food shop owned by Dipankar Roy. During the raid on April 9, 2024, authorities confiscated 16 bottles of “Bengal Tiger” country spirit, each containing 600 ML, and 48 beer cans, each containing 500 ML. The seizure was made as Dipankar Roy was found to be in possession of and selling the liquor without proper documentation.Dipankar Roy has been taken into custody, and legal proceedings against him are underway.
