An illegal liquor vendor, identified as Rabi Mondal (63), was apprehended by ASI Arun Kr. Dey and the police force from Hogalberia Police Station on April 15th. Acting on a tip-off, they conducted a raid at Cechaniya water tank near Shitalatola, where Mondal was found in possession of 22 bottles of “Bengal Tiger Premium” country spirit, each containing 600 ML. Mondal, a resident of Nashirerpara, Biswaspara, was allegedly selling the liquor without proper documentation. He has been taken into custody, and the seized liquor has been confiscated under proper seizure protocols.
