SI Swapan Kumar Hazra of Tehatta PS has filed a complaint against Sadhan Bala (38 yrs) and Lakshan Das, both residents of PS Tehatta. Acting on a tip-off, Hazra led a raid near Chatina Ite bhatapara under PS-Tehatta on 22.03.2024 at around 00:30 hrs, resulting in the arrest of the aforementioned individuals. The raid uncovered various tools believed to be intended for a dacoity, including iron rods, a knife, a wooden stick, nylon rope, and another iron rod, all seized under proper documentation. The arrested individuals were allegedly assembling with associates to carry out the crime. While two were apprehended, others managed to escape in the cover of darkness. Upon interrogation, Bala and Das confessed to their involvement in the planned dacoity.
