Kotwali Police Station, Nadia: Complainant SI Gouram Sarkar reported a successful operation resulting in the arrest of two individuals, Tanmoy Acharjee (28) and Bittu Das (29), both residents of Arabindanagar Simultala. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid at Sathi Club Math near Krishnagar railway station at 21:55 hrs on 20.04.2024.The arrested individuals were found in possession of a “Bhojali” and an iron rod, allegedly intended for use in a planned dacoity. While the two were apprehended, eight to nine others managed to escape under the cover of darkness.During interrogation, Acharjee and Das confessed their involvement in the planned crime.
