Susankar Sadhukhan, Assistant Engineer, and the Station Manager of Krishnagar Road Station Customer Care Centre, lodged a complaint after discovering unauthorized electricity usage on April 8th, 2024.During an inspection at the agriculture premises belonging to Bishnupada Sarkar, son of the late Sudhir Sarkar, of Java Pabnapara, it was found that electricity was being utilized for agricultural purposes without proper authorization from WBSEDCL. The electricity was allegedly being tapped directly from the nearest LTOH line without permission.Upon interrogation, Bishnupada Sarkar failed to provide satisfactory explanations or valid documents supporting the unauthorized usage of electricity. This discovery highlights the ongoing challenges faced by WBSEDCL in ensuring the lawful distribution of electricity and preventing losses due to illegal connection.
