In a recent crackdown on illicit activities, ASI Rintu Kr. Das led a raid resulting in the arrest of Raju Sk (42 yrs) from Bangaljhi Madhyapara, PS Chapra. Acting on a tip-off, the police swooped in on an unnamed shop in front of Srinagar More under PS Chapra at approximately 9:20 PM on April 24, 2024.During the operation, authorities seized cash amounting to Rs 2,230/-, along with various electronic items including a monitor of AOC Brand, a Frontech Century CPU, a Zebronics keyboard, among others. The accused were allegedly engaged in online gambling, exchanging money for gaming, causing wrongful gains to themselves and losses to others.While one individual was apprehended, others managed to evade capture. The police have initiated further investigations into the matter.
